Jumbo Gem Kit: Fairy Tale Kingdom
This mess-free craft builds fine-motor skills through satisfying, sensory play. Pick the pom pom up with the popper and pop the pom pom onto the sticky parts of the card. This product is inspired by the viral diamond painting craft and has been adapted to be kid-safe with a high-success rate for 5-year-olds.
I managed this product from initial ideation to final release. I worked closely with internal creative, marketing, and quality control teams, external industrial designers, and our overseas factory to develop this new product line.

Popping on Jumbo Gems
I used the on-site laser-cutter and Cricut® machines to make functional prototypes of the cards. I advised on and tested initial popper prototypes. When the initial suction cup based popper didn't provide consistent results, I pivoted and suggested a wax based gem pickup system, which is what is in the final version.
I worked closely with the Creative team through the brainstorming and approval processes to develop the final cards.
