BrainBolt® Boost
Designed for ages 5-105, this handheld, tactile brainteaser game includes three game modes Memory Boost, Classic Mode, and Sound Duos. Players can challenge themselves with three levels of Memory Boost and try to beat their score in the 'never ending' Challenge mode.
I managed this product from conception to release. I worked closely with internal teams, outside industrial designers, the inventors of the original BrainBolt®, and our overseas factory to hit deadlines and meet brand guidelines for this new addition to the hit BrainBolt® line.
In order to optimize gameplay through consumer testing I made the digital prototype shown in the video. This allowed us to test which button quantity and speed were ideal for 5-year-olds while still being fun for adults.

Final Design
Final Design
After finalizing gameplay and unit requirements, I managed an external industrial designer to explore form factor options. I sent feedback for iterative designs and after receiving finalized design sketches, I made the 3D model in Autodesk Fusion.
I developed and optimized a wire-framing system for the company to accurately communicate gameplay to the factory for programming. A small sample is shown in the wire-framing screenshot.

I selected audio clips for the game and customized the clips based on internal feedback and optimized for the game's speakers. I tested iterative looks like and works like prototypes before approving for final production.
